Must Have Homemade Salsa

You will need: (These are rough measurements by the way, This makes a giant 8" x 8" dish)
  • 6-7 Big Tomatoes ( Canned diced tomatos will work as well, I just prefer fresh when I can get it )
  • 2 Green Peppers
  • 2 Red Onions
  • 8-10 Jalapenos
  • Small bunch of Cilantro
  • 4 ounces of Lime Juice
  • 4 tbsp. Kosher Salt
  • Few finely chopped garlic cloves
  • Cilantro to taste

Step 1: Dice the tomatoes. I used to do this by hand (which took houuuurrsssss) but now I just use our Ninja processor. Add them to a large dish/bowl or whatever you want really..

Step 2: Repeat step one for the onions, peppers, jalepenos. I usually blend the Cilanto and garlic in with the Jalepenos.

Step 3: Now that everything is in the container, mix it all up. Add the lime juice and salt. Mix again until it looks pretty :)

Step 3: Let it sit in the fridge overnight to give it time to settle and become delicious. ( Or eat it right away, I won't judge)

Step 4: Drain some of the excess juice if it rises over the salsa, not a lot but keep it under the top about a half an inch or so.

Enjoy!

Note: If you add a bit of sour cream is also pretty delicious. I also add this to omelettes and even toasted cheese sandwiches haha

    1. Just a word of advice: Don't let your friends try it! If they do you'll end up having to make huge batches everytime to spread around to all the hungry patrons! haha
